“Through it all, whenever he feels unworthy, whenever he feels like he shouldn’t belong or exist, whenever he feels like his whole life is one gigantic sham, all it takes it Kaldur to make Roy feel like a real person.”
“Through it all, whenever he feels unworthy, whenever he feels like he shouldn’t belong or exist, whenever he feels like his whole life is one gigantic sham, all it takes it Kaldur to make Roy feel like a real person.”
After Kaldur is revealed to be a mole for the League, Roy gets a visitor he’d long since stopped expecting. Spoilers for 2.3, “Alienated.”

I haven’t posted anything in so damn long. I have pieces of many things, but nothing complete, so here is the beginning of the final installation of “Dreams Won’t Do,” a collection of Roy/Kaldur oneshots. Sorry, everyone.

Roy fidgets as he sits on the examining table in the Cave’s medbay, letting someone he vaguely knows extract a piece of shrapnel from his arm. It’s nearly eleven at night and he knows the babysitter is going to kill him, but he doesn’t have the money for hospital bills right now, even with Jade’s occasional, doubtlessly illegal monetary contributions. Ollie ensured he had a high school diploma but he can’t put his real job experience on a résumé (“running around at night in tight pants and shooting things full of arrows”), so his salary isn’t particularly impressive, and as it turns out parenting is pretty expensive.
Around the room, several other young heroes are being patched up. Roy recognizes some – there’s Nightwing’s replacement, the new Robin, whose dislocated shoulder is being tended to by Miss Martian, and that weird kid with the blue armor whose name he learned once but now forgets. There are others, but he doesn’t know them; it’s been a while. On the whole it looks like it’s been a hell of a day for the entire team.
Roy has just picked up Lian from daycare on the way home from work – security coordinator at a local bank – when right as he’s buckling her into her car seat, his cell phone rings.
Thing is, his cell phone isn’t on.
“Hello?” he answers suspiciously, tucking it between his shoulder and his ear so he can finish tethering his daughter in. “Who is this?”
“It’s Nightwing,” responds the caller. “It’s an emergency.”
(Well that solves the mystery, at least – the bastard hacked his phone.)
“So deal with it,” Roy snaps. He adjusts the car seat straps and ruffles Lian’s hair, taking the phone back into his hand and straightening out. “Or get the League. You know I don’t do that sh – stuff anymore.”
He glances at Lian to see if she noticed his slip-up, but she’s contentedly flipping through the book the daycare lady gave her, something about a lost cat finding its way home. She didn’t hear.
Pre-season 1. Roy/Kaldur preslash if you’re looking for it. Also on FF.net.

Title: Flashbacks
Show: Young Justice
Pairing: Bluepulse
Rating: going with Mature because of trigger below
Trigger Warning: ungraphic implied attempted rape
Summary: Bart has a flashback while making out with Jaime. (Because its my headcanon that he has some form of PTSD or something with similar symptoms)
Bart’s back slams against the wall of the Hall of Justice. And, in the same impatiently passionate way, Jaime’s lips collide with his. Jaime’s tongue is so delicious, the movements between their lips so thrilling, that Bart almost forgets. Suddenly Jaime’s hand, still covered in the Bluebeetle armor, as only Jaime’s face is exposed, runs through Bart’s hair. Jaime pulls at Barts head until he’s looking up at the ceiling, with Jaime ravish his exposed neck with hickeys.
And, Bart convinces himself he doesn’t even remember how there wasn’t a ceiling on the Hall of Justice the last time this happened. Or WILL happen? No. Not now. Bart changed the future.
The scarab’s armor stretches away from Jaime’s other hand trapping one of Bart’s wrists and forms what feels like a cuff. Bart’s breath hitches and he can feel himself start to vibrate, but not in the way he was before. Desperate for skin to skin contact, but not for the previous passionate reason, he gasps out and reaches at Jaime’s face with his one free hand.
“Jaime, what is the scarab doing?” He’s pretty sure he managed to keep his voice even.
title: first kiss
rating: PG
characters/pairings: Jaime, Bart, BluePulseThere was a lot that Jaime didn’t know about Bart. Honestly, there was a lot no one knew about Bart and every time Jaime figured something out, he saw Bart differently. It wasn’t exactly a bad different or a good different, just… different.
Characters: Bart Allen, Jaime Reyes
Summary: He wants him to hate him.
A/N: AU-ish, future-tense.
Warnings: Rape of the adult/youth variety.—-
He can’t remember how or when or why it starts, he only knows that he hates it and wishes it would stop. Whatever he did to deserve this, he’s sorry, and he’d really like to take it back, and he swears he’d do things differently if it meant this would never happen again. But for now, it is happening, that big, strong hand is at the back of his collared neck, pushing him forward, deeper into the hollowed out ruins that once were the Hall of Justice. With every step – every painfully slow step – his heart sinks lower and lower in his chest and his stomach knots and churns with disgust and fear. Which is kind of funny, if he thinks about it, because he knows what’s coming and he shouldn’t be afraid anymore. In fact, he should be used to it. That he’s still afraid and refuses to accept it is a good thing, or so he hopes. It means he hasn’t given up yet, that he still has some fight left in him, some belief that maybe things will change.
